Afsana Ara Bindu began her journey into the glamour world with the beauty pageant Lux-Channel i Superstar contest in 2006. She secured the first runners up position at the contest and had her break as a model and an actress on both big and small screens.

Today Afsana Ara Bindu has become one of the popular names of the small screen. She has won the hearts of millions within a brief period.

“Acting is my passion. I always enjoy what I do and when it comes to acting I try to enjoy it to the fullest,” said Bindu while speaking with daily sun recently.

This Eid has been a very busy one for Bindu who was seen on all the leading TV channels during the occasion. Sharing about her present works, Bindu said, “I am working more on single episode TV plays these days. However, currently five drama serials featuring me are also on air on different channels.”

“Maasranga Television is airing two serials Kaalochhaya and Pather Daabi, the serial Hawai Mithai is going on air on ATN Bangla, the serial Akaasher Nichey Manush is going on air on ntv, while another TV serial is being aired on Boishakhi TV,” Bindu added.

Her first film was Daruchini Dwip which was released in 2007. Based on a novel of popular author Humayun Ahmed the film received a good response from the viewers.

Sharing her views about working in the movie industry, Bindu said, “I like acting in the films but it will always depend on the script. If the script is good then I am always interested to act in the film.”

On the occasion of the Victory Day on 16 December two TV plays featuring the actress will go on air. Sharing more Bindu said, “The stories of the plays are based on our the country’s Liberation War and Independence.

One of the TV plays will go on air on BTV and another one will be aired on Maasranga Television. It is really a great feeling to be able to work on TV plays based on our Liberation War and Independence.”

Asked about her future plans, Bindu said,“I never really plan anything. Things just happen. For example, I have never really thought of becoming an actress. It is fate which brought me here. Whatever I do, no matter which role I am trying to play in a TV play, serial or film, I give it my best shot and full attention. And I think that is what really matters the most is to do things from heart.”
