Bollywood Media Buzz: After a not so good 2010, Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji will be appeared in a new movie named “No One Killed Jessica”, which is scheduled to release on January 2011.
No One Killed Jessica, which is produced by UTV Spotboy and directed by Rajkumar Gupta is scheduled to release in the first week of January. Both Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan worked on this movie. In the world of glitz and glamour, There are people who believe in superstition while some other rubbish the entire idea of a jinx. Until recently, one would hardly see any big budget release in the first week of January but this norm is slowly and steadily changing as film-maker Raj Kumar Gupta decided to release his upcoming movie No One Killed Jessica on January. The film will have music by Amit Trivedi, who earlier gave music in Dev. On this movie Vidya Balan plays the character of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, Rani is set to play a reporter. According to sources the plot of the movie is based on the controversial Jessica Lal murder case. However, later, the director clarified that the title and the script are actually inspired by a headline carried out by The Times Of India in 2006, when the accused in the infamous murder case were acquitted by the lower courts, leading to nationwide protests, reopening of the case and subsequent sentencing of the accused, and not the case per se. The soundtrack has been composed by National award-winning composer Amit Trivedi.
