Oct 15, Bangladesh Star Buzz: Tehran 2121, one of the country's greatest animation productions, is scheduled to release on 2011.
A team of Iranian animators is planning to release Tehran 2121 in the coming year. Movie director Bahram Azimi told the news agency that they are preparing to premiere the sci-fi comedy next year and also on the process to prepare a number of Iranian movie theaters for its screening. ‘We had decided not to unveil the image of any character before the production was completed,’ Azimi said. Sources said, more than 80 animators have been working on the project since 2008. The animated sci-fi comedy production, which is being produced by the Tehran Municipality, is now in the postproduction stage. Tehran 2121 is about the past and present of a 160-year-old man in the year 2121, when robots and people live together and human beings live much longer due to advancements in medicine. The story of this animation takes place in the year 2121, when robots live alongside people who live for over 160 years. Bahram Radan, Hedyeh Tehrani, Mehran Modiri, Mahtab Nasirpur, Mohammadreza Sharifinia, and Hesam Navvab-Safavi starred as the main characters in the animation.
